The Panel

Vas Bhandarkar, Serial Entrepreneur and Executive
Vas Bhandarkar is a successful serial entrepreneur and executive who has bootstrapped to successful exits several companies in the last 12 years. He was an early employee of Remedy Corporation a customer support and management company, founder of Alma Enterprises a CRM services company, co-founder of the now public Selectica a configuration software company for the Internet, and Unimobile a wireless value-added-services B2C company, currently a division of Verisign. Early in his career he was a technologist who implemented the industry's first Voice Mail System and the world first open source X Window System. He was the founding VP of Marketing and Business Development at Selectica, the Chairman and CEO of Unimobile, and currently works as a consultant to consumer Internet and wireless companies. His most recent project is is carwale.com which is a classified ad and research automobile site for consumers in India. Vas currently serves on the Board of GlobalLogic. Vas is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, and Colorado State University. His online bio is at vbhandarkar.blogspot.com.


Aditya Agrawal, Sr. Director of Marketing for Beceem Communications
Aditya Agrawal is Sr. Director of Marketing for Beceem Communications and is responsible for all of Beceem's partnership activities. Aditya is also a key contributor in WiMAX Forum having served on the Board of Director of WiMAX Forum at the time of its launch and is currently Chair of the Certification Working Group (CWG) that runs the WiMAX Certification program.

Aditya has more than 15 years of engineering and business experience in the communications and semiconductor industries and has previously worked at Texas Instruments, Level One Communications (now Intel) and Fujitsu Microelectronics. He received his BS degree from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, MS from the University of Louisiana, and MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.


David Witkowski, VP, Wireless Communications Alliance
Mr. Witkowski has served on the Board of Directors for the non-profit Wireless Communications Alliance since November 2005. In 2006 he led their event coordination, Web/IT, and directed marketing efforts. He now serves as Vice President responsible for strategic alliances, fundraising, and leadership of the WCA's Special Interest Groups.

Mr. Witkowski is an independent consultant to wireless semiconductor clients specializing in product/program management, sales/business development, strategic planning and negotiation. Prior to this Mr. Witkowski led Business Development for Wireless/RF at Cadence Design Systems, led Worldwide Applications Engineering at Xpedion Design Systems, and was responsible for launch and development of several programs at Tropian (a fabless semi startup developing chipsets 3G handsets). He's also held additional positions of leadership and responsibility at Verifone, ComTech,
Apple Computer and the U.S. Coast Guard. Mr. Witkowski holds a BSEE from University of California at Davis, with emphasis in wireless communications and microwave circuit design.


Ramneek Bhasin - Chief Executive Officer, Mobio Networks
Ramneek Bhasin founded Mobio in 2005. Apart from managing day to day operations, as CEO, he is focused on building Mobio's partner/channel strategy and most importantly consumer enthusiasm with Mobio's applications.

Most recently, Ramneek was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Storm Ventures, focused on communications, wireless and internet software. Prior to Storm, Ramneek was CEO and co-founder of Vialto Corp. and successfully led Vialto's efforts in its acquisition by Cisco Systems Inc.

In 1994, Ramneek had co-founded WSB Technologies, a leading SI and Technology Management Consulting firm. Prior to WSB, Ramneek was at Schlumberger VLSI Test Division as Director of Software Strategy. Ramneek has also held various positions at Digital Equipment (acquired by Compaq/HP) and Synercom.

Ramneek has an MS from Louisiana State University and a B.Tech from IIT Kanpur, India. He co-authored US Patent 6,891,932 - "system and methodology for voice activated access to multiple data sources and voice repositories in a single session"


Michele Law - Principal, Greylock Partners
Michele Law joined Greylock as an Associate in the fall of 2000 and was promoted to Principal in 2003. Prior to Greylock, Michele was a lead hardware engineer at Sun Microsystems specializing in the design and development of RF and digital board products for Sun's workstation and graphic product lines and was co-inventor on two technical patents. While at Sun, she also held program management and product marketing roles. In addition, Michele was an analog chip designer at IBM and an associate at the investment bank Robertson Stephens where she executed IPO transactions in the eBusiness and Internet infrastructure technology space. Michele holds an MBA from the [www.hbs.edu|Harvard Business School] and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.
